Our Natural soaps are made with ingredients that are good for your skin. Vegetable oils such as olive, avocado, and sweet almond make wonderfully mild and creamy soaps. They gently cleanse your skin without stripping its vital oils and moisture. Many of our bars are also enriched with beneficial herbs and essential oils. They leave nothing behind but soft, healthy feeling skin.

Every bar contains glycerin as a result of the soapmaking process. Glycerin attracts moisture. Our soaps are also superfatted, which means that the recipe contains more oil than is necessary to make the soap, ensuring a silky, rich lather.

Honesty.

We honestly tell you every ingredient that is in our soaps and all of our products. They are common ingredients that most people recognize and can pronounce. We do not withhold ingredients to make our products sound more natural nor do we use misleading verbiage to hide ingredients.

What goes on your body can also go into your body.

Our soaps contain safe ingredients that your body can recognize and process like olive, coconut, sweet almond and other vegetable oils.

In a study reported by the Environmental Working Group, 9 people were found to have over 100 chemicals in their blood and urine. These were ordinary people like you and me. All the chemicals found were from products they used and many of them personal care products. Of the chemicals found 76 are linked to cancer, 94 are toxic to the brain & nervous system, 86 interfere with hormone system, 79 linked to birth defects, 77 toxic to reproductive systems, and 77 toxic to the immune system. The synthetic fragrance industry alone uses over 2000 chemicals (Fragranced Product Information Network).

Better for the environment.

Natural soaps are biodegradable and do not persist in the environment.

There are thousands of pounds of chemicals dumped into our environment daily. In the year 2000 U.S. industries reported dumping 7.1 billion pounds into our air and water. (EPA 2002a). The government has tallied 5000 chemical ingredients used in cosmetics alone.

Every time someone showers with a body wash, shampoo, etc., they are washing chemicals down the drain that end up in our environment. Modern water treatment plants are not equipped to detect or remove most of these chemicals.

To make the problem worse, most liquid soaps and body washes are very drying and irritating to the skin which necessitates the need for a lotion, cream or moisturizer with yet another blend of chemicals to end up down the drain. Our natural soaps do not dry out your skin and help reduce the need for excess skin care products.
