Recently I was reading an article about Pinterest and how businesses can use it to relate to their customers and engage them. Towards the end of the article the author offered some extra tips and when I saw this one I laughed my butt off.

“Engage your customers by asking them to share photos of themselves using your products or services.”

Since my main product is soap and you would normally use this in the bath or shower I just had to laugh at the thought of me asking my customers to share pictures of themselves using it.

Although it might make for some interesting content I’m not sure it would be suitable for my Pinterest. However I think this idea could be turned into a really fun and creative project so…

….I am challenging you to share interesting and creative pictures of yourself using any of my products. How can you make a picture of someone using a bar of soap fun, interesting and creative? I don’t know but I will bet that there are tons of you out there that do. After all the internet and Pinterest is filled with interesting and creative people and their ideas.

You can send the pictures to pics@scenterofthemind.com and include your name and full physical address and permission for me to put the pictures up on my web site on a special page. I will also publicize this page on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. I will NOT include your address or email address on the web page or publish them in any form. That will remain totally private. I will include your name under the picture so if you only want a first name listed be sure to let me know in the email. I totally respect privacy.

One rule: Parts that should not be uncovered in public should not be in the picture uncovered. No nudity.

Now here’s what’s in it for you besides having fun being creative. I will pick my 3 most favorite pictures. The grand prize winner will receive a $30 gift certificate to Scenter of the Mind. The other two will receive another of whatever the product is in the picture for free. So if it is a bar of soap, I will send you another bar for free.

I will collect pictures until June 30, 2013 which is when I will pick the winners. You will be notified by email so make sure Scenter of the Mind is in your trusted senders list. Just to get the ball rolling I will start by showing you a picture of me using my Rose Petal Face Mask in one of my at home facials. Although it is not very creative I was having fun when I did it.
